Doris Jeanne Wilson

Doris Jeanne Wilson (Heins), of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Fred Wilson; daughter of the late Leo and Elsie Heins; cherished mother of Susan Krauss; mother-in-law of the late Kent Krauss; loving grandmother of Rachel (Nick) Travers and Rebecca Krauss; treasured great-grandmother of Matthew Travers; and dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.

Born on November 2, 1929, in St. Louis, Missouri, Doris was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. She was a woman of strong faith and was active at Grace Chapel, where she sang in the choir and participated in Lydia Circle. She was also a dedicated member of Ladies Aid at Zion and especially enjoyed the card parties and bake sales.

Doris loved playing bridge, dominoes, and card games, shopping with Sue, Rachel, and Becca, spending time with Matthew, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, and hosting Thanksgiving gatherings. She and Fred enjoyed traveling together, and she treasured trips with family and friends to destinations including Germany, China, New York, and Colorado.

Doris will be remembered for her faith, kindness, and devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Doris’s name to Lutheran High School of St. Charles County or Zion Lutheran Church.
