Doris Mae Turnage (nee Roselle), of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of 67 years to John Turnage; cherished daughter of the late Frank and Beryl Roselle; devoted mother of Deborah "Debbie" (Arthur “Art”) Muchmore, Constance "Connie" (Daniel "Joe") Campbell and Jacqueline "Jackie" (Patrick "Pat") Ferber; loving grandmother of Erica (Richard "Corey") Melton, Amy (Joshua) Mueller, Daniel "Corey" Campbell, Amanda Muchmore, Nathan (Tate Gehrig) Ferber and David (Madison Looper) Ferber; treasured great-grandmother of Mason Hatfield, Aadesyn Hatfield, Lucas Mueller, Richard Melton and Joseph Melton; dear sister of the late Robert Roselle and the late Edward Roselle; sister-in-law of Bette Roselle and June Roselle; Doris was a loving aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Doris consistently prioritized her family's needs above her own, always demonstrating her unconditional love and unwavering dedication. Her days were filled with gestures of care, from preparing delicious meals, including her chocolate chip cookies, lending an empathetic ear, and teaching patience to comforting embraces during difficult times. Doris had the heart of a servant and was a constant source of encouragement, serving as the anchor for her family. In her free time, she was an avid reader and enjoyed many games, including Canasta. She cherished every memory with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whether it was during family gatherings or one-on-one time. Her legacy of selflessness and devotion continues to inspire, as she always believed that children are best nurtured by their families, a testament to the enduring power of her faith and love. Doris was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Memorials may be made in Doris's name to Barnes Jewish Cancer Center.
