Doris Elaine Goodrich Hornbostel Linn was the daughter of William B. Goodrich and Ida Spalding Goodrich. She married Roland P. Hornbostel in St. Louis in 1948, widowed in 1975. In 1977 she married Russell Linn in St. Charles, widowed in 1982. Surviving children and stepchildren: Roland, Jr. (Lois), Stephen (Linda), Phillip (Marjorie), J. Christopher, Bruce (Peggy), Roger (Debra) and Scott (Theresa). She also had 13 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Alex.
