Doris Carolyn Kostecki

Doris Carolyn Kostecki, of Florissant, MO, passed away January 31, 2022 at the age of 86. Cherished daughter of the late Harry and Lillian Kloster; beloved mother of Leonard Kostecki, Larry (Meg) Kostecki, Kurt (Karin) Kostecki, Ken (Kris) Kostecki, dear grandmother of Kyle, Ryan, Lily, Lexy, Kourtney, Kory (Brooke), Kristen, Frankie, Anna, Ella, dear sister of Jeannie (the late Joe) Drazic, the late Ken (the late Aurora) Kloster, the late Wayne (the late Rose) Kloster, loving aunt and cousin.

Doris had a lovely personality. She was very outgoing and never knew a stranger. She loved to laugh, even if that meant at herself. She never missed an episode of Wheel of Fortune. She enjoyed traveling. She traveled the United States in great depths as well as around the world to places such as Greece, Italy, Ireland, France and Russia to name a few. Doris was a woman of faith. She taught religion at St. Norbert in Florissant before becoming an active member of Immaculate Conception Dardenne Church. One of her favorite places to visit was her Country Cabin at a place called Paydown Rod and Gun Club along the Gasconade River. Above all, she lived for her family. She cherished every one of them. She found such pride and joy in her grandchildren. Doris will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Doris’ name to Catholic Charities.
