Donald "Joe" Welch

Donald "Joe" Welch was wrapped in the arms of the Lord May 29th, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Donna Sue Ashby Welch; cherished son of the late Bertie M. and Sam M. Welch; devoted father of Teresa Welch, Debra (Keith) Peters, and the late Mark Welch; loving grandfather of Carly Welch and Chris (Jackie) Hull; treasured great grandfather of Shelby (Tyler) Welch, Mylie Lamb, Macy Schweppe, Lucy Hull, and great-great grandfather of Jace Prather; dear brother, uncle, and friend.

Joe proudly and honorably served in the United States military and was a devoted member of Dardenne Baptist Church. He shared 71 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Donna, and together they built a life centered around love, family, and adventure. Joe was deeply involved in his children's activities, especially through O'Fallon Little League, and enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling—often taking memorable road trips with Donna, with Gulf Shores being a favorite family destination. Known as a jack of all trades, Joe was always ready to lend a hand and took great care of his wife, children, and extended family. His love for Donna and their family was unwavering and truly remarkable. Joe was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in Joe’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
