Donald P. Thebeau, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Thomas Wagen, Sr.; cherished son of the late Roy Philip Thebeau and the late Lois Marie Wortham; devoted father of Jennifer (Peter) Corley, Rebecca (Tyrell) Mayfield, and Thomas Wagen, Jr.; dear brother of Gerald, David, and Edward Thebeau.
Don was the proud owner of the Flower Petaler in St. Charles and also served as a public relations officer for the St. Louis Art Museum and the Cancer Association. Passionate about art and deeply community-minded, he generously supported animal shelters and, following a flood in St. Louis, even housed animals in the basement of his shop to assist in rescue efforts. Don shared a loving partnership with Tom for 16 years, including 11 years of marriage. During those years, Don loved Tom’s baking. He had a natural gift with animals, often taking in feral cats, and was a self-taught gardener with a keen eye for beauty. Charming and kind-hearted, Don once worked alongside Mary Strauss decorating the Fox Theater and had a particular appreciation for sterling silver antiques and hosting elegant dinner parties and brunches. He enjoyed watching The Nanny, as well as classic murder mysteries and horror films from the 1920s–50s, and he was a real jokester with a great sense of humor. Don was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Donald's name to Campbell House.
