Donald L. Schneider, of St. Charles, MO, died on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at the age of 92. Loving husband of Marlene Schneider; son of the late George and Gertrude Schneider; father of Brad (Nancy) Schneider, Doug (Kelly) Schneider, Michelle (Doug) Maloney, and Christy (Greg) Early; loving grandfather to Eric, Jacob, Haley, Hannah, Meghan, Erica, Brendan, Stephanie, Samuel, Andrew and his great-granddaughter Ellie.
Donald enlisted in the United States Air Force at the age of 20, proudly serving his country from 1953 to 1957 during the Korean War, with service in both Korea and Japan, and concluding his military career in Spokane, Washington. Following his service, he dedicated 42 years of hard work and loyalty to McDonnell Douglas as a Production Planner.
Donald shared 66 loving years of marriage with his beloved wife, building a life rooted in devotion, family, and faith. He was a deeply devoted father and an adoring grandfather who was actively involved in his grandchildren’s lives—never missing a game, recital, or performance. Family was everything to Donald, and he cherished the beach vacations he and Marlene planned every other year, creating lasting memories for generations.
In his free time, Donald enjoyed bowling, golfing, and card games, especially bridge and pinochle. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council 823 and the American Legion Post 312. After retirement, he and Marlene enjoyed many traveling adventures together including Germany, Ireland, and Italy, as well as many U.S. destinations.
Donald was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Donald's name to St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Charles Borromeo or Duchesne High School.
