Donald Hurt

Hurt, Don, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the age of 71. Loving husband of Karen Hurt NEE: Sherrill; beloved son of Laura Odean Hurt and the late Donald A. Hurt; devoted father of Jason (Kim) Hurt and Erin (Gerry) Pollard; treasured grandfather of Chaney Pollard and Megan Hurt; dear brother of Venita (Gerald) Huster and Karen V. (Roger) Delana; dear son-in-law of Louise Sherrill. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Don is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Lewis Sherrill and his sister-in-law, Donna Alberding. He was employed by Cassens Transport in Fenton for 39 years. "Downtown Don" was a great athlete excelling at baseball and softball, playing on many local teams throughout the years. Through the years he was a collector of many things, and a hobbyist of Indian artifacts, coins, roses, lilies, photography and much more.
