Donald Gilbert Adams, of St. Peters, MO, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Linda Adams and his late first wife, Mary Ann Adams; cherished son of the late Francis and Oscola Adams; devoted father to Rene Adams, Kim (Vicki) Williams, Marcia (Kobie) Ward, and Michele (Jerry) Roach; loving grandfather of Kevin (Heather) Keeney, Justin (Carly) Keeney, Madison Williams, Abby Roach, Reagan Roach, treasured Great-Popo to Jacob, Nolan, Lucas, and Brynlee Keeney; dear brother to the late Martha (Earl) Brown and Connie (Don) Kyle; precious uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, and friend.
Don worked for McDonnell Douglas for 36 years. His career spanned as a technical illustrator to manager of the Film and TV department. He later taught at Meramec Community College as a drafting teacher and recruiter for McDonnell Douglas. He was meticulous by nature and fiercely loyal, yet, never without a sense of humor. Don was a man that always had a plan and itinerary for most things. He was always good for a great story or advice, often sharing one or more of his many "Don-isms”.
Don loved growing tomatoes each year, an activity he enjoyed with pride. He fondly remembered traveling across the United States with Linda in their motorhome, even making the journey to Alaska. His greatest passion was his family, who meant everything to him. He was a hardworking man who took great care of those he loved in countless ways, showing particular devotion to Linda as her caregiver during her later years. Don found immense joy in watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow, taking great pride in each of them. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Don’s name to Samaritan’s Purse.
