Donald D. Hammond

Donald Hammond, of St. Charles, Missouri, died on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the age of 75 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of 51 years to Loretta Hammond (nee: Iffrig); devoted father of Joan (John) Kane, Don T. (Linda) Hammond, Joseph (Kristine) Hammond, Cathy Hammond, and Nancy Hammond; cherished grandfather of Christin, Mary Beth, Andrew, Joe, Matthew, Jack, Joey, Katie, and Kara Jane; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews, and dear friend to many. He is preceded in death by his daughter Jane Hammond and brother Gary Hammond. Mr. Hammond was the owner and operator of Hammond Photography for 37 years. He received a Master Craftsman in Photography award along with many others. Mr. Hammond was the President of the PPA St. Louis, the PPA for the State of Missouri and the PPA Heart of America. He was a volunteer at St. Joseph's Health Center and St. Vincent DePaul Society along with many other charitable organizations around the St. Charles County area. He was also a lifelong member of St. Peter Catholic Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
