Donald Francis Benoist

Donald Francis Benoist, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Marie Benoist; cherished son of the late Melvin and Mary Benoist; devoted father of Michelle (Larry) Parent, Thomas (Lanae) Benoist, Rene (the late Steve) Shoults, Suzanne (the late Carl) Scott, and Michael (Elena) Benoist; loving grandfather of Dustin (Jeanine), Adam (Jennifer), Elise (Mike), Lisa, Lindsay (Jeff), Derek (Katy), Natalie (Mike), Trevor, and Shelby; treasured great grandfather of 12 and great-great grandfather of 2; dear brother of Dolores (Duff) Moehlman, Melvin (Mary) Benoist, Jr., the late Joan Pratt, and the late Jerry Benoist.

Donald proudly worked as a car mechanic for many years before later becoming a lithographer. He had a passion for carpentry and engineering and was a devoted WWII aviation buff. An avid racing fan, Donald attended the Indy 500 several times. He especially treasured his trips to Hawaii and enjoyed bowling. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
