Donald (Don) Alpert was born June 7th 1940 and peacefully went home on the morning of April 14th 2024. Donald was husband to Nelda Alpert (Sides). Father to Leisa (Alpert) Fitzgerald and Gerald Fitzgerald. Grandfather to Kelsey (Fitzgerald) Price, Larissa Price, Kayla Fitzgerald and Jerry Fitzgerald. Preceded in death by his father and mother, Louis and Henrietta Alpert and brother, Jerald Alpert.
Don was a loyal and loving husband, a caring, protective father and his grandchildren will tell you he was the best grandpa.
Don was a wonderful friend and neighbor to everyone he crossed paths with. He never met a stranger and always took the opportunity to share his interests and knowledge. He enjoyed collecting many odds and ends like coins, movies and history related items. He found pleasure in reading and being outside most days and always found the best movies to watch with his grandchildren.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and made sure to spread his joy. We will miss Dons laugh and smile that could light up a room.
We will miss you greatly. Rest in peace.
