Dolores Gray

December 24, 1932 — January 21, 2026

St. Charles, Missouri

Dolores Gray, loving wife and mother of three children passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026 at the age of 93.

Dolores was born on December 24th, 1932, in St. Louis, MO to the late Anthony Malon and Ann Milton. On June 9, 1956, she married William Gray and together they raised three children.

Dolores was raised in St. Louis and was a 1950 graduate of Central High School, where she served as the editor in chief of the school newspaper. For many years, Dolores served as the Treasurer of the Central High School reunion committee and maintained many close friendships with her former classmates. Dolores also attended the University of Missouri.

Dolores was an avid dancer and spent many weekends dancing with friends. She won many dancing competitions at the local YMCA and at the Club Imperial ballroom.

Dolores and Bill married in 1956 and they raised their family in north county, where she was a member of St Sebastian parish for 34 years. She was actively involved in the activities of the parish until they moved to St Elizabeth Ann Seton, where she was a member of the 50+ club.

Dolores was devoted to her family and was always present at every sporting event or activity involving her children or grandchildren. She could always be seen in the stands, keeping score and cheering for her team. She and her husband Bill loved to go to the University of Notre Dame to watch football games and could often be seen at St Louis University basketball games.

Dolores had many friends who she loved spending time with. She had a kindness that drew people to her and a fierce loyalty to everyone she loved, along with a wonderful sense of humor and a sharp wit. She enjoyed activities such as dancing, reading, listening to music and spending time with family and friends at their house at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William, her father Tony, and her mother and stepfather Ann and Marion. She is survived by her three children, Michael (Nancy) Gray; Gayle (Paul) Hemmann; and Lynne (Scott) Weber; her six grandchildren, Katie (Sean) Cahn, Kathy (Andrew) Barnett, Eric Hemmann, Alex Weber, Matthew (Sarah) Gray, and Tim (Faith) Weber, along with one great grandchild (Will).
