Dolly Naomi Hood
December 23, 1939 — April 10, 2020
Dolly Naomi Hood of Saint Peters, MO, passed away at the age of 80 on Friday, April 10, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Naomi White.
Dolly is survived by her beloved husband, David Hood; her children, Cheri (Kevin) Burleson and Jim (Julie) Hood; her grandchildren, James Barton, David Hood, Emily Hood; and her sisters, Barbara Jones and Carol Ann (Roy) Pierce.
Dolly was a faithful member of Trinity Episcopal Church in St. Charles and treasured the community she found there and in the SVC Club. She was an amazing gardener who belonged to the Up-See Daisy Garden Club and won every award there is to win in the flower shows she entered. Her passion for creating beautiful things also extended to her bead work and the many fine pieces Dolly crafted over the years. She retired after a rewarding career in the Francis Howell School District and will always be remembered as a devoted mother who put her family first in everything. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will directly follow the memorial service held at 1:00pm.
Memorial contributions in Dolly’s name may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church of St Charles, MO.
Services will be held at a later date.
