Diane Sue Karpel

Diane Sue Karpel (nee Taaffe) passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 83.

Diane married Tom Karpel on September 21, 1963. During nearly 63 years of marriage, they built a life together centered around their family.

She was the loving mother of Kathy (Bob) Coots, Jim (Monica) Karpel, and Dan (Amber) Karpel.

Diane was a cherished grandmother to Nick (Kelcey) Karpel, Michelle (Christian) Reiling, Meghan (Patrick) Conley, Abby (Jesse) Karpel, Lauren Coots, Mason Karpel, and Maddie Karpel; and a proud great-grandmother to James, Blair, Carter, Ella, Nora, Thomas, and Jack.

Above all, Diane will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also a loving mother to her beloved dog, Cody. Her greatest legacy is the family she and Tom built together and the love and memories they shared throughout her life.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
