Dennis Ray Bartels, of Wentzville, MO, Sunday, July 2, 2017, age 71. Loving husband of the late Mary Ann Bartels; beloved son of the late William and Wilma Bartels; devoted father of Steven (Laura) W. Bartels and Scott A. (Laura) Bartels; step-father of Jeffrey F. (Sherry) Vanost; cherished grandfather of Brendan, Lindsay, and Jeremy Vanost, Kelly and Mark, Sydney and Morgan Bartels; dear brother of Don (Pat) Bartels; brother-in-law of Norman McCosh, Judy (Larry) Lynch and Rita (Rob) Pryor.
Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a true civil war historian and loved visiting battlefields. Dennis coached his children’s sports and was retired from Anheuser-Busch. He was dearly loved will be missed by all who knew him.
