Delbert Jon Potter
August 9, 1939 — January 15, 2022
Delbert Jon Potter, of Wentzville, MO, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Frances “Louise” Potter (nee Celania); cherished son of the late Delbert, Sr., and Catherine Potter; devoted father of Barbara (Tony) Graceffa, Stephen "Nicholas" Potter, Terri (Kevin) McLernon and David (Cindy) Potter; loving grandfather of Kyle Potter, Jillian (Tyler) Draper, Kylie Potter, Camille Potter, Robert (Lianna) McLernon, David McLernon, Alexandra (Matthew) Hines and Nicholas Graceffa; treasured great-grandfather of Wesley Draper; dear brother of Josephine Horton and the late Robert Potter.
Jon grew up in Bloomfield, IA. He proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. He met Louise after high school and they were happily married for over 40 years. They lived in Two Rivers, WI until relocating to St. Peters, MO and then later to Jeffersonville, IN for his work. Jon retired and moved to Wentzville, MO after Louise passed away.
Jon spent time with friends at the Wentzville Community Center and enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels for local seniors. Jon loved to play golf in his free time. He looked forward to his annual golf trip back to Indiana with colleagues from work for many years. His children have fond memories of their time spent together. Jon was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in Jon's name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
