Dee B. Bathe

Dee B. Bathe (nee Kopf), of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Edward L. Bathe; cherished daughter of the late George and Barbara Kopf; devoted mother of Jeffrey (Cindy) Bathe and Laura (Doug) Piazza; loving grandmother of Bradley (Jessica) Bathe, Melanie (Greg) Ilgenfritz and Stephanie (Caleb) Lung; treasured great-grandmother of Wren, Lilly, Ellie, Lena, Evie and Mary; Dee is preceded in death by her siblings, Eugene Kopf, Richard Kopf, Ginny Kopf, Theresa Bement, and Don Kopf.

Dee was a talented and creative soul who found great joy in making things for others. She made quilts for children’s charities, lovingly crafted doll clothing, and created beautiful jewelry through her love of beading. She was incredibly giving and took great pleasure in gifting the things she made, knowing that each creation carried a little piece of her love with it.

Dee also loved a good game of Scrabble and took great pride in finding the biggest, highest-scoring, and longest words. She also loved playing Hand and Foot card game. She had a special place in her heart for children with special needs, whom she cared for as a substitute teacher. The children she worked with were very dear to her, and she cherished the time she spent with them.

One of Dee’s greatest joys in life was her beloved fur-baby, Tiffany, who brought her endless love and companionship.

Dee was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her generous heart, creative spirit, and loving nature will live on in the many lives she touched and in the beautiful things she created and shared with others. 

Memorials may be made in Dee's name to American Diabetes Association.
