Dawn Marie Tibbetts (Miller), of Henderson, NV, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the age of 60. Beloved wife of Timothy Tibbetts, cherished daughter of Jo Ann Miller and the late Robert Miller, devoted mother of Blake Montgomery and Shanna Ramirez, proud grandmother of Jayden Ramirez, Daniel Ramirez, loving mentor Zachary Tibbetts, dear sister to Catherine Johnson and Gay Yerkes, and adored sister-in-law to Duke Johnson and Robert Yerkes.
Dawn and her husband Tim enjoyed many adventures exploring the west by mountain climbing, hiking, kayaking, camping, off-roading, and admiring the wild horses.
Dawn was always looking for a new adventure and would turn the ordinary aspects of life into something exciting. She brought her friends and family gravel cycling on Missouri’s Katy Trail, camping, hiking, and exploring. Along with adventure, Dawn loved to recover at the spa with her sisters and daughter. She also enjoyed rooting for her son at hockey games and taking him skydiving. Dawn led by example, participating in 5k and 10k runs, and triathlons, in which she inspired her daughter to follow in her footsteps.
Dawn proudly served as a Lake Saint Louis police officer, in which she demonstrated a high work ethic driven by her genuine passion for serving her community. She was actively engaged in all aspects of her service, including the annual Polar Bear Plunge and Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics. After retiring as a police officer, Dawn served as a security officer at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV, and with the Veterans Benefits Guide thereafter. Dawn was very patriotic and proud to take a role where she would help veterans. She deeply cherished the letters of appreciation and sentiments from the communities in which she served.
Dawn was the light of the scene. Her positive outlook on life, her lighthearted personality, and acceptance of the people around her made the mood feel joyful. She recognized the best in people. When hardships or challenges arrived, she approached the situation with a positive outlook, focusing on what she could control and took immediate action to resolve the problem. Dawn always pushed forward, supported those around her, and led people to success.
