David L. Wortmann

David Lawrence Wortmann, of St. Charles, Missouri, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the age of 90. Loving husband of the late Dorothy Wortmann; beloved son of the late Andrew and Mabel C. Wortmann; devoted father of John (Lynne) Wortmann and Teresa Wortmann; cherished grandfather of Jason (Tara), Brian (Julia), Keena, and Tyler; treasured great-grandfather of Gwendolyn and Khloe Elizabeth; dear brother of Donald (Jeanette) Wortmann, Floyd (Sue Ann) Wortmann, and Leroy (Joyce) Wortmann. David is preceded in death by his daughter, Joetta (Randy, survives) Daming; his sisters, Geraldine (Ralph) Peine, Suzanne (Norman) Schroer, and Ruthann Wilmes.

David was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a devout Catholic and true to his faith. David loved taking annual train trips. He traveled across whole United States on Amtrak. David enjoyed working with his hands, taking things apart and putting things together. He also had a great love for airplanes and motorcycles. For the past 50 years, David would attend Oshkosh International Air Show for the Experimental Aircraft Association. David was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in David's name to Masses - St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
