David H. Wolter, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the age of 96. Loving husband of the late Cleo Mae Wolter (nee Bull); beloved son of the late Roscoe and Pauline Wolter; devoted father of Lynda (Kevin) Brumley; cherished grandfather of Hannah Brumley, Sarah (fiancé Caleb Hommez) Brumley, and Rebekah Brumley; dear brother of Mary (Bob) Storm and Carol Wolter, treasured by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his infant son, John David Wolter.
David honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War II. After his service, he pursued a long and fulfilling career as a pharmacist, retiring at the remarkable age of 80. A dedicated member of the Kiwanis Club for many years, David exemplified community spirit and service.
An avid coin collector and passionate history enthusiast, he had a lifelong love of learning, particularly about local and world history. He also enjoyed traveling across the United States and to Ireland. Above all, David cherished the time spent with his beloved daughter and granddaughters, who were the light of his life.
David was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Memorials may be made in David's name to Immanuel Lutheran Church or St. Croix Hospice.
