David Paul Wehmeyer, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Schulte) Wehmeyer; cherished son of the late Raymond, Sr. and Dorothy (nee Simon) Wehmeyer; devoted father of Stephen Wehmeyer; dear brother of Robert (the late Fay) Wehmeyer, Helen (the late Leo) Cologna, and Raymond (Laverne) Wehmeyer, Jr.; brother-in-law of Clyde (the late Shirley) Schulte; a loving uncle and friend to many. David is preceded in death by his sister, Janet (James)Weber.
David shared a loving marriage of more than fifty-eight years with his beloved wife, Barbara, a partnership that stood as a testament to devotion and enduring companionship. A proud lifelong member of the St. Charles community where he was born and raised, he gave back generously, including serving as President of the St. Charles Rotary Club from 1986 to 1987. Intelligent and driven, David earned his PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology and applied his knowledge and vision to help develop Westborough Estates, Foxborough, and Edgemont Subdivisions, as well as two mobile home parks, leaving a lasting mark on the area he cherished. Known for his industrious spirit and strong work ethic, he balanced his professional accomplishments with simple joys, especially treasuring time spent taking wife and his son rainbow trout fishing and traveling to favorite destinations like Branson and Bennett Springs. David was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He served as a mentor to many.
Memorials may be made in David's name to Duchesne High School or St. Cletus Church for masses.
