Dave, who enjoyed listening to polkas and watching wrestling, was born in Pittsburgh, PA, growing up in the Etna neighborhood of the city. After high school, he became a member of the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967, serving from his post in Misawa, Japan as a radio communications operator/translator during the Vietnam war. Returning to Pittsburgh after his service was completed, Dave found employment with Trans World Airlines (TWA) and was married to Eileen Stock on July 15, 1967. In the early eighties, TWA relocated their operations to St. Louis and Dave moved with them, settling his family in St. Charles, MO. He retired in 2005 from American Airlines who had purchased TWA prior to his retirement. Dave enjoyed baseball and though he grew up supporting the Pirates in Pittsburgh, he became an avid supporter of the Cardinals after his move to St. Charles. He was meticulous regarding lawn care and took great pride in maintaining the family home both inside and out. Dave was a caring father to his children, and a loving grandfather to his grandchildren and great grandchild. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
