David Robert Snyder

David “Dave” Robert Snyder, 74, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2024 at his home in St. Charles, Missouri. Dave was born on November 28, 1949, in Norman, Oklahoma to the late Joseph Quincy Snyder and Bona Bell Snyder (nee. Osborn). Dave graduated from St. Charles High School. 

Serving in the United States Navy from November 17, 1969 through July 24, 1973, Dave earned recognition receiving the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal (1 Star).

Dave will be remembered for a life of love, laughter, family, friendships, and music. Dave was a passionate guitar player and proud to be a member of Frank’s Heros, a non-profit organization that provides guitar lessons at no cost to military veterans.

The most important thing to Dave was his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Marcia Ann Snyder (nee. Hudson), daughters Angelena (Donnie) Kissell, Amanda Snyder (Joshua Hackmann), grandchildren Donnie Colin Kissell, Ethan David Kissell, Rylan Thomas Kissell, Gavin Terrence Kissell, Adelynn Leanne Kissell, Evelyn Belle Hackmann, his brother, John Russell Snyder, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Helen Snyder, and brother Joseph Snyder.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave’s name can be made to Kohl-Jeck VFW Post 2866 Building Fund (66 VFW LN Saint Charles, MO 63303) or Frank’s Heros.
