David L. Rogers

July 1, 1957 — January 26, 2022

David L. Rogers passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at the age of 64. He was born on July 1, 1957, in Dallas, Texas. He was a resident of Saint John, Missouri for 30 years.

David married the love of his life, Gail, in 1995. He was a devoted father of two sons, Donald and Shawn. For the past 17 years, his grandchildren were the light of his life. He always made time for them. In his younger days he was very active with playing softball and bowling. David owned a successful flooring business for 40 years. In the past few years, he became involved with BNI (Business Network International) and you could see how much he enjoyed all the members.

Everyone who met David instantly saw that wonderful smile and felt his gentle spirit. Most of all, David was a devoted Christian. Among his many ways of serving the Lord, he served with others to bring a Sunday service to local nursing homes until the pandemic. He loved the Lord above all else.

David is survived by his wife, Gail; his children, Donald and Shawn; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; grandchildren, Ayden, Isaac, Chase, Logan, Kinleigh and Emma; brother, Dale; sister, Linda; and numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald, and Darryl; mother, Johnnie Schmidt; stepfather, Dewey Schmidt and father, Wallace Leon Rogers. David was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in David's name to Hazelwood Baptist Church
