David Wayne Kelley

February 1, 1953 — March 9, 2024

David Wayne Kelley, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the age of 71. Loving husband of Anna Lisa Kelley; beloved son of the late Oscar R. and Maudie E. Kelley; devoted father of Amber (Bill) Keys, Cynthia (Justin) Eckstein and Deborah (Dan) Scharlott; cherished grandfather of Desiree LaRose, Noah LaRose, Hannah LaRose, and many other grandchildren & great-grandchildren; and is also survived by his fur babies, Ella and Ziva. David is preceded in death by one of his daughters, Jill LaRose. 

 

In 1964, David moved to O'Fallon, MO, and graduated from Fort Zumwalt High in 1971 and then St. Mary Jr. College in 1973. After dedicating 47 years to Boeing, he retired in 2019. David, a loving grandfather, raised Desiree, Noah, and Hannah as his own children. Each of his grandchildren held a special place in his heart. 

 

David and Lisa, his wife, enjoyed 27 beautiful and loving years of marriage filled with travel adventures in their camper. Actively participating in the Chapel of the Lake in Lake St. Louis, he found joy in singing with the choir. Known for his infectious joy and friendliness, David was described as the kindest and most genuine person anyone had the pleasure of knowingDavid was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
