David L. Duenkel

O'Fallon, Missouri

David L. Duenkel, age 79, O’Fallon, MO, passed away peacefully at home on September7, 2024. Dave was the son of Joe and Virginia (Glover) Duenkel both deceased.

He grew up in Jefferson City, Missouri, graduating from Helias High School. He continued his education at Lincoln University majoring in accounting. Dave had a successful career with IBM for 30 years. After retirement he and his wife, Linda, moved to Lake Ozark,Missouri, and started Lake Management, Inc., a condo management company.

Dave was married for 58 years to the love of his life, Linda Martin. Together they raised the joy in their life, Nikki Duenkel Curtis. Dave enjoyed many activities including orienteering, hiking the Grand Canyon, rock climbing, and traveling to his favorite place, Palm Island, Florida where he loved to pick up sharks teeth. Dave was committed to contributing to the community as a member of the Elks Lodge and board member of SIDS until moving to Lake Ozark.

Dave is survived by his wife, Linda, his daughter Nikki Curtis and son-in- law Scott, his brother Joseph Duenkel, his grandchildren David Clouse, Chris Clouse (Brianna), Joshua Clouse (Kassidy) and Kaitlin Curtis Reppell (Jacob), Braden Curtis, Owen Curtis and great grandchildren Isla and Callahan Reppell, and niece, nephews and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Wounded Warriors, St. Jude, or a charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
