David "Dave" F. Flaiz

David "Dave" F. Flaiz, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Friday, August 28, 2026, at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Ellen Flaiz; cherished son of the late Franklin P. and Velma Flaiz; devoted father of Teresa Macleod, David M (Suzie) Flaiz, Brian (Kristy) Flaiz, and Daniel Flaiz; loving grandfather of Drake Kruep, Gracie Kruep, Kennedy Macleod, and Hayley Flaiz; dear brother of Rachel (Rick) Anderson; brother-in-law of Joan (Rodney True) Zenner, Barbara (Mike) Mason, and Tom Zenner.

Dave owned and operated Sharp Erectors for 20 years and was a lifetime member of Ironworkers Local 396. A hardworking man who always wanted to stay busy.  Dave loved helping others and sharing his wealth of knowledge. He was incredibly skilled and could fix just about anything, he was truly a "jack of all trades". He was known for being meticulous, organized, and dependable. He took great pride in building his home at the lake, where he cherished spending time with his family, as well as their time together in Florida. Dave lived by the motto, “Life is what you make it, and you can achieve anything if you work hard”. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a true joy for life, and was always laughing and finding the good in every situation. He adored his dogs and grand-dogs and took great joy in the time spent with family and friends. Dave was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
