Darrell M. Johnson

Darrell M. Johnson, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the age of 84. Loving husband of the late Shirley Ann Johnson; beloved son of the late Austin Verdon and Esther Pearl Johnson; father of Donovan Michael (Jacqueline) Musterman; stepfather of Vickie (Craig) Wiley, Diane (Larry) Winkler, Robin L. Kirchoff, Lesa L. Buerck, and Karen Andrews; cherished grandfather of Ashley Dobson, James Musterman, David Musterman, Roxanne Musterman, Chelsea Barr, Thomas Moeser and Billy Atwood; treasured great-grandfather of Amelia Mae Rateliff, Layla Jo Rateliff, and Emma Rose Barr; step grandchildren, Lynne Dickey, Willie Coker, Michelle (Mike) Bonvicino, Angie (Mike) Davis, Josh Martin, Jamie (Chris) Stevens, and Robert Piskulic; step greatgrandchildren, Joey Bonvicino, Austin Bonvicino, and Alec Bonvicino, Cody Davis, Michaela Davis, and Robert Piskulic Jr.; dear brother of Betty Jarman, Melvin A. Jones, Pauline Keegan, Mary Edwards, and Sharon Edwards. Darrell is also preceded in death by his son, David Johnson, stepdaughters, Debbie Krypciak, Kim (Ray) Barton, and Donna Piskulic. 

Darrell proudly served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Italy. He was an avid sports fan who supported all the St. Louis teams, with a particular passion for hockey and football. Darrell deeply loved his family and was their devoted caregiver. He cherished his late wife, Shirley, with whom he shared 27 wonderful years of marriage. He enjoyed construction work and took pride in his handiwork. Darrell also had a special bond with his two beloved cats, Tippy and Too. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
