Danny Elwood Lacy, of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Donna Lacy; cherished son of the late Margery and James Lacy, Jr.; devoted father of Kimberly (Ricci) Massman, Jennifer (Taylor) Ransone, and Jonathan Lacy; loving grandfather of Blake, Parker, Ava, Drake, Graham, and Ashleigh; dear brother of the late Brenton Lacy and the late David Lacy; treasured uncle, cousin, and friend of many.

Danny proudly and honorably served 20 years in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot, earning distinction as a highly decorated veteran who served in Vietnam’s 101st Airborne Division and the 1st Cavalry. He was proud to serve in the Medical Service Corps. thereafter. He shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Donna, whom he met while attending Morehead State University, where he also became a lifelong member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity. Danny enjoyed country music, had a true appreciation for good food, and loved watching movies. Above all, he cherished his grandchildren, lovingly known to them as “Bopa,” and was always there to support them at their sporting events. Danny was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
