In Loving Memory of Dan Sullivan 1930 - 2025
Dan Sullivan — devoted husband, cherished father, grandfather, great grandfather and loyal friend — passed away peacefully at home on the evening of Saturday, June 21, at the age of 94. Just a couple of weeks earlier, his family had gathered on Father's Day to celebrate him with hope and gratitude, believing there was still more time. In true Dan fashion, he spent his final days with grace and intention offering wisdom, reinforcing routines, and grounding his loved ones in the quiet strength they had always known.
Dan was a man of steadfast principle and timeless character. He carried himself with quiet dignity, a pressed shirt, a firm handshake, and a belief in doing things the right way, every time. He approached life with full commitment driven by integrity, resilience, and unwavering care for the people in his orbit.
Throughout his life, Dan was a teacher, a craftsman, and above all, a storyteller. He laid foundations-literal and figurative for his children, often delivering his best advice in the earliest hours of the day, unvarnished and wise. In recent months, his family was gifted the rare chance to slow down-to laugh, to remember, and to truly see the depth of the man who shaped them: layered, generous, and deeply loved
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon, and their children Brian, Amy Cory (Norman Goswick), and Maggie (Joe) Reinagel. Dan was the proud grandfather of Michael Hahn, Courtney Hahn, and Kevin Cory, and he recently welcomed his first great-grandchild, Kace Hahn, son of Michael and Cara Hahn. He is also lovingly remembered by his niece, Carrie Snopek, and her husband Steve; his brother-in-law, Roy Gallagher, and his wife Lu; as well as longtime neighbors and friends Tom and Sue Gill. His circle of influence stretches far, touching the lives of numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who will carry forward his humor, his wisdom, and his loyal heart.
A celebration of Dan's life will take place at Baue Funeral Home, 3950 W Clay Street, St. Charles, MO 63301 on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Dan leaves behind a quiet yet profound legacy — not built on accolades or acclaim, but on presence, purpose, and the careful shaping of a meaningful life. As his family continues their story, they do so with deep gratitude for the man who helped write every chapter.
Memorials may be made in Daniel's name to American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
