Dana was born on May 23, 1971, in Columbia, MO to Mildred Williams and Robert Fisher. Dana loved to write children’s stories, poetry and screenplays. She was an avid fisherman. Dana graduated from David H. Hickman High School in 1989 with her twin sister Dianna Williams. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1990.
Dana attended and graduated from cosmetology school, Columbia Beauty Academy. She later moved to St. Louis, MO and worked for Western Union for twelve years. She and her twin, Dianna, ran a successful home daycare for ten years, from 2008-2018. As her twin would say, Dana had a heart of gold. She was always caring and giving to others, even in her final days. She was hard-working, funny, a go-getter and overachiever who will be greatly missed by many.
Dana leaves to cherish her memory her twin sister Dianna Williams, best friend Lotus Loum of Texas, special niece Nakisha Christian of Columbia, dear friend and sister-in-law Karen Williams of Arizona, play daughter Zori McGhee of St. Louis, special cousin: Janie Coleman of Portageville, her beloved chemo nurses at Pratt, sisters: Rosie Pool of Columbia, Fran Pool of Columbia, Gevona Clay of St. Louis, Gloria Hicks of Kansas City, brothers: Marvin Williams of Arizona, Mark Williams of Columbia, Robert Fisher Jr of Kentucky, Edward Busby of Columbia, and Michael Williams of Arizona, Mary Brown (Aunt Jane) of Columbia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dana cherished her daycare families and was actively a part of their lives as best she could. They were her forever family.
