Dale R. Windes

Dale Richard Windes, of West Alton, MO, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Windes; cherished son of the late Cleveland and Helen Windes; devoted father of Todd Gregory Windes and the late Jeffrey Scott Windes; loving grandfather of Chance Jeffrey Windes, Brenden Dale Windes, Carson Foley Windes, Morgan Elise Windes; dear brother of June (Dean) London; Dale is also survived by his long-time companion, Lea.  

Dale was a member of the U.S. Steel Union in Wood River, Illinois. More than 40 years ago, he began his career with a company originally under the name of Laclede Steel Company.   

Dale was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and rarely missed a game. He enjoyed fishing on the river for the day’s biggest catch.  

Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends. He never met a stranger and enjoyed a good conversation.  Dale was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
