Dale J. Kruckeberg

Dale Julius Kruckeberg, of Saint Louis, MO, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Sadie Mae Kruckeberg; devoted son of Freida J. and Otto Kruckeberg; loving father of Jeffrey (Lorie) Kruckeberg, Gerald (Christine) Kruckeberg, and Christy (Jim) Riegerix; cherished grandfather of Matt, Matthew, Jarod, Emily, Autumn, Justin, Mitchell, and Alyssa; precious great-grandfather of Jaxon, Sadie, Archie, Marlee, and Sawyer; dear uncle, cousin, and friend of many. He was also preceded in death by his two sisters, Alberta Daube and Verlene Urekar, and his three brothers, Leo Kruckeberg, Glenn Kruckeberg, and Dean Kruckeberg.

Dale proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. He was very hardworking and dedicated many years at General Motors. Dale was a member of the UAW and loved the community he found there. Dale loved spending time in his home state of Illinois; he often went back to his hometown for homecomings and local events. Dale valued family and friendship over everything. He never met a stranger and enjoyed chatting with just about anyone. Dale loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Dale was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorials may be made in Dale's name to the American Kidney Fund or the American Diabetes Association.
