Dale Isaak, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born January 20, 1945, in Saint Louis, Missouri to Alphonse (Al) and Henrietta Isaak (nee Kues). Devoted father to Greg Isaak (the late Julie), Kevin (Brenna) Isaak, Kristie (Mark) Filla, and Dan (Jackie) Isaak. Dale was predeceased by his first wife Judy, his parents and many beloved aunts and uncles. He is survived by his children, his wife, Jane Nelson, eight grandchildren, three grandchildren in-law, six great grandchildren, and his dog, Coco.
Dale graduated from Corpus Christi elementary and high school. He graduated from Saint Louis University in 1967 with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He remained a lifelong Billiken fan and was a proud guard on the Billiken basketball team.
Upon graduation from SLU, he was drafted into the United States Army and earned an army commendation for exceptionally meritorious service. He served in Vietnam from 1968-1969.
His professional career included working at McDonnell Douglass, the May Department Stores, and Fashion Gal. He later started his own tie company, “Watch It.” He was an investment advisor prior to his retirement in 2013.
Dale was famous for always having a joke to share. He told the same jokes many times and laughed louder than anyone in his audience. He loved sports, especially golf. His “happy place” was Innsbrook, where he enjoyed his chalet for more than 40 years and golf with friends and family. He scored a hole in one at Persimmon Woods and a second at Woods Fort.
Dale loved life to the fullest. His greatest passion was his family. He will be missed more than we know how to express.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Immaculate Conception Dardenne, Catholic Charities Archdiocese of St. Louis, or the Kevin Corn Golf Academy at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Hospital.
