Cody Joseph Douglas Cannon, of Fernley, Nevada, passed away April 14, 2023, at the age of 28 years. Dear son of Clint (Cynthia Beanblossom) Cannon and Sandra (Jay Wisa) Cannon; devoted father of Noah Cannon; cherished brother of Travis (Kyla) Cannon, Joel Wisa and Brittany Willard; treasured grandson of Neil and Patrice Barlow, Steve and Diana Raymond, the late Charles Robert and the late Marcella Lee Cannon; nephew of Tammy Raymond, Marsha McCubbins, Curtis and Vickie Cannon, Chris Cannon, Casey Cannon; uncle of Tyler Treichel, Hannah Nieman, Haylee Nieman, Justin Nieman, Remi Cannon, Charlie Willard and Owen Willard; cousin and little brother of Kyle Wilson Cannon as well as many extended family and friends. 

Cody graduated from Liberty Ranch High School in 2012 and immediately joined the Navy. He graduated from Bootcamp in Great Lakes, IL and A School in San Antonio, TX. He proudly served his country for 10 years and diligently earned his rank of MA2. He served stateside in Georgia, South Carolina, and Nevada in addition to abroad in Bahrain Throughout his travels he always found friendships.  

Cody had a big heart and was a softie for animals, loving his dog, Lily. He was extremely outgoing; he never met a stranger. His contagious personality made him fun to be around and people gravitated towards him. Those friendships he held throughout his life were something he cherished. Family meant everything to Cody. He loved the holidays and gathering with them. He especially cherished the special bond he had with his son. Noah truly was his everything. He and Noah’s mother, Jessica, remained close friends as they raised him together.  

Having played softball himself, Cody enjoyed sports. He often rooted for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Reds. He attempted to fish once, it didn’t go well. He loved to listen to country music, sang along, even though he couldn’t and found happiness in the small things. Cody will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.  

Memorial donations may be made in Cody’s name to Tunnel to Towers.
