Terschluse, Clifford O., of St. Charles, Missouri, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the age of 83. Loving husband of Glenda Sue Terschluse (nee: Diestelkamp); beloved son of the late Alfred and Agnes Terschluse; devoted father of Kara (Wesley) Villhard; cherished grandfather of Madison and Emerson Villhard; loving uncle of Terry (Chris) Koehler, Carla (Tom) Chronister and Nancy (Paul) Hurst; dear brother of Eunice Luehrs, Ruth (Tommy) Meyer, Jeanette Finder, Raymond (Shirley) Terschluse, and Victor (Norma) Terschluse. He is preceded in death by his siblings Sylvester Terschluse, Alfred Terschluse, Kenneth Terschluse, Oda Snyder, and Lois Schlitt.
Cliff was known for and will be remembered for his gentle nature, kindness, his wonderful smile and sense of humor. He was a good friend and a hard worker. Because of the way he conducted his life, he was well-liked by all. He loved his family deeply. His wife, daughter, granddaughters, and nieces were his prized gifts and each felt the love he had for them.
Cliff loved to be busy outdoors, whether gardening or farming, he loved to be close to nature. He was skilled with the camera, and enjoyed capturing pictures of the wildlife in his own backyard. He enjoyed learning about WWII and talking about it with others. He served in the Korean War and was also stationed in Japan.
Cliff retired from H.E. Grau after more than 40 years as a drywall finisher. He took great pride in the work he did, which showed in the quality of his work. After retirement, he filled his days with hunting, fishing, and his most beloved 'hobby,' spoiling his granddaughters. His presence will be missed, but his memory lives strong in those he loved.
