Clarence Dwayne McKinney of O’Fallon, MO, passed away at the age of 73 on Friday, June 12, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Verna McKinney.
Clarence is survived by his beloved wife, Susan McKinney; his children, Tanya (Bill Hamilton) Ray, Matthew (Carrie) McKinney, and Melanie (Mike Knipping) Pierce; his grandchildren, Megan, Steven, Paige, Cameron, Autumn, Joey, James, and Brittany; his great-grandchildren, Josie, Landon, Olivia, Pheonia, Maxine, Mikey, Mackenzi, and Kyra; his sisters, Juanita (Warren) Huffines and Linda (Gerald) Kloth. He is also survived by his lifelong friends, Tom and Pam Culler, and his beloved canine companion, Lucky.
Clarence was a true outdoorsman who felt at home in nature. He loved hunting and fishing, and spending time at his favorite place - the Smoky Mountains. He was also a man of great faith, and was a longtime member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church. Clarence is lovingly remembered by his family for his humble, generous, and selfless nature, and his kind and gentle ways were a great source of comfort for his family. Spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was something Clarence always looked forward to, and he cherished the memories they made together over the years. He was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
