Clara "Sue" Adams

Clara “Sue” Adams (nee Whitworth), of Troy, MO, passed away Monday, August 3, 2026, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Gene Adams; cherished daughter of the late Loyd and Clara Whitworth; devoted mother of Robin (Charlie) Pilla and Alan (Lori) Adams; loving grandmother of Ben Pilla, Tyson Pilla, and Hannah (Austin Cahill) Adams; dear cousin/sister of Sandy (Joe) Prainito; cousin of Bob Laymon and Bill (the late Sharon) Laymon.

Sue was an avid gardener who found great joy in spending time outdoors, where she nurtured both flowers and lasting memories. She loved traveling, exploring new places, and searching for hidden treasures at garage sales, embracing each adventure with enthusiasm and curiosity. Sue viewed life as a journey and lived it with resilience, strength, and a determined spirit, facing every challenge as a true fighter. Above all else, she cherished the time she spent with her family, whose love was the greatest blessing in her life. Sue was dearly loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Memorials may be made in Sue's name to American Diabetes Association.
