Christine “Chris” Kay Crandell (Agnew) of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the age of 61. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Crandell; her children, Stefanie (Ryan) Callahan, Danny (Katie) Hill, and Courtney (Andy Hine) Crandell; her cherished grandchildren, Colin and Mallory Callahan; her brother, Scott (Martha) Agnew; her sister, Cyndi (Mike) Salter; and her beloved dogs, Oli, Herman, and Lily—as well as her fish, named Fish. She was preceded in death by her father, James Agnew; her mother, Kay Balling; and her brother, Jimmy Agnew.
Chris was known for her selflessness and deep compassion for others, always offering support and love to those around her. She adored her coworkers, sharing in both their celebrations and their struggles. Her zest for life, radiant smile, and joyful spirit brought warmth wherever she went. Family meant everything to Chris, and she was the glue that kept everyone connected. Her grandchildren, Colin and Mal, who called her GiGi, were the center of her world, and even from afar, she made sure to connect with them every day. She brought love and life to her home, and Bob treasured every part of the life they built together. Chris enjoyed sunshine, boating, the beach, laying by her pool, shopping and cruising. Her love for animals was evident in the way she cared for her dogs. Chris was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stray Rescue of St. Louis in Chris' name.
