Choctaw Phelps

Choctaw Phelps, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 at the age of 83. Cherished daughter of the late Oathe and Mary Clark; devoted mother of Sabrina Tennant; treasured grandmother of Elley Carter. 

Choctaw worked as a librarian, waitress and bartender. But what she enjoyed the most was her time spent writing for a newspaper in Spencer, Oklahoma. She liked reading, gardening, and cooking. She loved writing, animals and spending time with her grandchildren. As a young woman she faithfully attended church. Choctaw was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Memorials may be made in Choctaw's name to New Life Evangelistic Center and Five Acres Animal Shelter.
