Cheryl Ann Collins McCluer

February 20, 1953 — March 22, 2018

Cheryl Ann Collins McCluer (nee Collins), age 65, of O’Fallon, Missouri, Thursday, March 22, 2018. Beloved wife of 15 years to Virgil C. McCluer III; cherished daughter of the late Bob Collins and Margaret Farrington; devoted mother of Joshua (Coryn) York, Brian Spencer, and Benjamin (Sara) York; loving stepmother of Daniel (Michelle) McCluer and Joseph (Fiancé Kassy Ketter) McCluer; treasured grandmother of Tori, Olivia, Aimé, Reid, Mickenzie, Cameron, Samuel, and Jayden; and dear sister of Terrence Traughber, Scott Traughber, and Lawrence Traughber.

Cheryl loved needlepoint, making baby blankets, gardening, camping, and being on the water. She was an excellent cook and dinner time was very important to her. Most of all she loved being “Grammy” to her grandkids. Cheryl will be remembered for being strong-willed, a fighter, and the glue of her family. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Memorial contributions may be made to Moog Center for Deaf Education.
