Charline Pearl Martinez

Martinez, Charline Pearl (nee: Tolin), of Saint Peters, MO, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017, at the age of 84. Loving wife of the late Frank F. Martinez; beloved daughter of the late William Tolin and the late Pearl Stuehmeyer; devoted mother of Steven F. (Kathy) Martinez, Patricia D. Dietrich, and Linda C. Newberry; cherished grandmother of eight; great-grandmother of nine; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her her brother, Billy Tolin and her sister, Joyce Powers.

Charline married Frank F. Martinez on March 27, 1954, and they had a blessed 58 years together.  She was a supportive military wife, and business owner of Something Special, a children’s clothing store.  She actively attended Sunrise Methodist Church in O'Fallon, MO.  Charline believed it was better to give than to receive; a model she lived by throughout her life.  She was passionate about Youth in Need, Head Start/Early Head Start, FISH, The American Red Cross, and countless others.  She was dearly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
