Charlie R. Westerman

Charlie R. Westerman, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the age of 88.

Beloved husband of the late Pat Westerman; cherished Son of the late Toba and Marion Westerman; devoted father of Terry (Lisa) Westerman, Rhonda Kramer, Tony (Carey) Westerman, and Arlene Combs; loving grandpa of Britni Leitman, Tiffanie (Drew) LaLonde, Brad Kramer, Emma (Daniel) Dickson, Ben (Emily) Westerman, Patrick (Isabella) Westerman, Thomas Westerman, Adam Westerman, and Tanner Combs; treasured Papa of Louie Lohden-Hyde, Avery Leitman, Adeline Dickson, Sawyer Opolony, Ryker LaLonde, and Brooks Dickson; dear brother of Millie "Sis" Meier; uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Charlie is also preceded in death by five Brothers, Lloyd Westerman, Johnny Westerman, Gene Westerman, Jesse Westerman, Billie Westerman; and three Sisters, Lois Hubbs, Bernice Fox, Rosalie Summers.

Charlie began his career at McDonnell Douglas on July 9, 1959, where he worked as a machinist in the aerospace industry and proudly dedicated more than 37 years to his profession. After retirement, Charlie cherished traveling and spending time with his family, always looking forward to hosting family gatherings and creating special memories with those he loved. He enjoyed going to the casino with Pat and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. Charlie took tremendous pride in his garden, especially growing fresh vegetables to share with his family. He was a genuinely kind and caring person who freely shared that kindness with others. He also enjoyed playing Canasta, Rook, and Poker, always appreciating the time spent with family and friends. Charlie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorials may be made in Charlie’s name to the Ronald McDonald House.
