Charles R. Funesti

Charles Richard Funesti, of Saint Peters, MO, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Diane Elaine Love-Funesti; cherished son of the late Julius and Gladys Funesti. Devoted father of Deborah (Earl) Kersting and the late Richard (Teree) Funesti; loving grandfather of Michael, Christopher, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Timothy, Nicholas, Amanda, and Brendan; dear brother of the late Robert and Jack Funesti.



Charles proudly served in the United States Army. He was a railroad arbitrator and was very dedicated to his work and enjoyed it. Charles spent over 30 years in the industry. Charles was an avid reader. He would read four or five books a week and would spend hours reading in his family room. History and historical material where among his favorite topics to read. Charles also loved to tell stories and was a raconteur. He also enjoyed traveling and was curious and loved learning new things or attempting new hobbies. Charles had lots of friends and was extremely social. He was dedicated to his wife and was a loving grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. Charles was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.



Memorials may be made in Charles's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
