Charles Peter Hoenig

Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors. "Chuck" Hoenig, of O'Fallon, Missouri, died on Monday, November 30, 2009 at the age of 66. Dearest husband of Kathleen Hoenig (nee: Murray); dear son of the late Aloysius and Helen Hoenig; devoted father of Erin (Will) Hopkins, Matt Hoenig, Thomas (Ashley) Hoenig and Charles (Meredith) Hoenig; beloved grandfather of Mary, Will and Danny Hopkins, Sarah and Reese Hoenig and Josh Hoenig; dear brother of James (Anne Therese) Hoenig and the late John Hoenig; dear uncle of Tim, Chris and Michael; he was a dear cousin and friend. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Barney. Chuck retired from Local 138 IUOE after 40+ years and enjoyed fishing and traveling. He proudly served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran with the 628 Maintenance Support Company. Chuck was proud to serve as the former Captain of the New Hyde Park Fire Department Hook & Ladder.
