Charles Minning

Charles Minning, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the age of 82. Cherished son of the late Ernest and Mary Minning; Beloved husband of the late Alice Minning; devoted father of Patricia (Keith) Morgan and Shirley (Harlin) Minning; cherished first husband of Susan Graeler; stepfather of Jackie Mitchell and Darrin Duello; dear brother of the late Richard Voss; and a loving grandfather. Charles was also preceded in death by his good friend, Etta Sherman.

Born in Farmington, Missouri, in a state hospital, Charles was adopted at a few months old on March 25, 1942, by Ernest and Mary Minning. He worked for Boeing and enjoyed vending things he’d recently purchased. He would often buy something one day and sell it the next day. A flipper of junk. “A junk man,” and proud of it. Charles would buy storage lockers, always finding treasures. He knew everybody wherever he went. A friend of many. He also loved spending time at the casino. Charles was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
