Charles Lopanec

Charles Lopanec Sr., of St. Charles, MO, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of 50 years to Cheryl A. Lopanec; cherished son of the late Louis Sr. and Mary Lopanec; devoted father of Machelle (Rick) Howarth, Yvonne Weber, Timothy (Cindy) Lopanec, Frank (Kathie) Bruno, Charles (Mercedes) Lopanec Jr., and Leslie (Micah) Martin Lopanec; loving grandfather of fourteen; treasured great-grandfather of twenty; dear brother of Helen (Henry) Heitman, the late Louis Lopanec Jr., and the late Ben Lopanec; brother-in-law of Terrill Herbert Sr., Dennis Herbert Sr., and Denise Herbert. Charles is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Charles proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. After his service he worked with General Electric for 35 years. He was a member of American Legion Post 313 and a lifetime member of AmVets Post 106. In his free time, he loved to hunt, fish, garden and cook. Charles was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
