Charles "Chuck" H. Govan Jr.

Charles H. “Chuck” Govan Jr., of Saint Charles, MO, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Suzanne Lynn Govan; cherished son of the late Florence Gertrude and the late Charles Herbert Govan, Sr. Devoted father of Heather Deweese and Jennifer (Rob) McCadney; loving grandfather of Madison Smith, Morgan Smith, Charlie Smith, Paisley McCadney, and Penny McCadney; dear brother of the late Mary Ann Maggard and the late Jeffrey Govan. 

Chuck proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Newport Catholic High School in 1965 and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati. Chuck had a quiet personality, always listened carefully, and had a thoughtful nature. He was a hard worker and very proud of the life he and his wife of 53 years had built together. Chuck loved golfing, reading, and traveling. He and Suzanne traveled frequently and loved to find adventure together. He loved his family, especially his daughters and grandchildren. Chuck was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Memorials may be made in Chuck's name to Siteman Cancer Center.
