Charles Lee Barnes, of St. Charles, MO, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023, at the age of 86. Cherished son of the late Charlie and Bertha Barnes; devoted father of Jackie Hutchins, the late Roy Hutchins, the late Andrea Barnes-Moore, the late Duane Barnes, Cynthia (the late Larry Harris Sr.) Barnes-Harris, Tyrone Barnes and Cherri Barnes; loving grandfather of Myishia Morrison, LaTara Barnes, Porsheia (Bryan Childress) Childress, Larry (Natasha Harris) Harris and Kieara (Roy Theuri) Theuri; dear brother of the late Ruby Lee Barnes, the late Evia Lee Barnes and the late James Barnes.

Charles loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed learning about his family history and was full of wisdom. Charles was a proud employee of General Motors for 30 years. In his free time, he’d gamble and play cards. He took many trips to Las Vegas, NV, but his favorite place to go was Hawaii.

Charles’ Pallbearers will be Larry Harris, Ronnie Barnes, Bryan Childress, Roy Theuri, Charles Roby, and Leroy Jenkins.

Charles was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Memorials may be made in Charles's name to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
